Madawaska Planning Board
The Planning Board is an administrative board that has the responsibility of reviewing all site plans and subdivision applications in conformance to all local land use regulations, as well as for conformance to State and Federal rules that may apply. In addition, the Board is the primary Town board that reviews and proposes amendments to Madawaska's land use codes and zoning ordinances. They discuss and make recommendations for growth management and community planning.
Meetings
Meetings are scheduled as necessary and held at the Town Office located at 328 St. Thomas Street, Suite 101 Council Chambers. All meetings are open to the public. Planning board members are appointed by the Select Board and serve a term of three years. The members of the Planning Board elect who shall serve one-year terms as Chair and Vice Chair.
