Town of Madawaska Ordinances

ORDINANCE  - An ordinance is an authoritative rule or law created by a local government, such as a city council or county board of supervisors. Local governments can only create laws on matters that the state government says they can. Ordinances can cover a variety of topics, including things like zoning and rental building requirements. An Ordinance usually governs matters not already covered by State law.

PROPOSED ORDINANCES

The Planning Board provides proposed ordinance language and supporting materials after a Public Hearing and accepting, the PB sends to the Select Board for review or to present ordinance amendments at Town Meeting.
